Krawchuk-DePasquale vows Christine Ann DePasquale and Kevin P. Krawchuk both of Myrtle Beach, SC, were united in marriag< Saturday, September 12, at First Baptist Church o North Myrtle Beach. The Rev. Jim Mezick officiated the 4 o’clock double-ring ceremony. Music was provided by Lisa Yonkers and Dint McCall, sisters of the bride. The bride is the daughter of Joe and Janet DePasquale of Myrtle Beach, SC. The groom is the son of Peter and Marie Krawchuk of Fitchburg, MA. Dina McCall of Wilmington, sister of the bride, served as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Lisa Yonkers of Williamsport, MD, sister of the bride, Daynia Carroll of Conway, SC, and Tayna Sheel of Myrtle Beach. Jeff Bradford of Ashburnham, MA, brother-in-law of the groom, was best man. Groomsmen were Justin Rose of Myrtle Beach, Sal Ardagna of Fitchburg, MA, and Brian Maclver of Florence, SC. Miniature groomsman was Nicholas McCall, nephew of the bride. Dominic and Connor Yonkers, nephews of the bride, were ring bearers. The wedding was directed by Paula Mullis; the regis ter attended by Vicki Slater and Mike Wiener. Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Jasmine’s at Brunswick Plantation. A rehearsal dinner, hosted by the groom's parents, was held at Baron Steaks & Chops in Myrtle Beach. The bride is a 1990 graduate of Glassboro State College in New Jersey with a bachelor of arts degree in communications and a 1994 graduate of Horry Georgetown Technical College with an associate in sci ence degree in radiology. She is employed by Bon-Bone Medical Imaging in Myrtle Beach. MR. AND MRS. KEVIN KRAWCHUK The groom is attending Horry-Georgetown Tech and employed by Colefields Publishing. Following a wedding trip to Aruba, the couple resides in Myrtle Beach. Lakes POA to host Candidates Forum Sixteen candidates for public of fice have been invited to a Can didates Forum on Tuesday, October 27, sponsored by the Boiling Spring Lakes Property Owners Associa tion. The forum will be held in the bingo hall on Highway 87, begin ning at 7 p.m. The meeting is open to anyone interested in meeting and hearing first-hand from those who seek elec tion to the N. C. Anti-crime group to meet Thursday Citizens Against Crime, an organi zation of concerned citizens, will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday, October 22, at the teaching auditorium of Brunswick Community College at Supply. Department of Crime Control and Public Safety. ‘Second Language’ workshop planned Brunswick County Literacy Coun cil will host an “English as a Seconc Language” tutor training workshop, The workshop will be held ai Supply for two sessions beginning Saturday, November 7, from 9 a.m to 3:30 p.m. and continuing on the following Saturday, November 14, from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Nikki deUnger, Shirley Morrow and Mary Lee Sprague from New Hanover County will be the trainers. Those who complete the training will be certified as Laubach tutors in English as a Second Language. Participants will learn how to teach non-English-speaking residents how to speak, read and write in the English language. The workshop is free but preregis tration is necessary.
